QUIK-COMBO®
QUIK-COMBO electrodes are combination pacing/defibrillation/ECG electrodes and replaced the FAST-PATCH system as the de-facto for hands-free defibrillation for all LP products. The design of the QC system allowed for preconnection to a defibrillator which was marketed as the REDI-PAK.
All future LP products would be designed with QC electrodes in mind, and many older devices such as the LP6 and 10 received specially designed adapters to be able to use the QC system.
They are rated for up to 24 hours of adhesion/ECG monitoring, up to 50 360J shocks, and 8 hours of continuous pacing.
The QUIK-COMBO connector is standardized across all modern LIFEPAK products and allows for a rapid transfer of care between providers.
Original QC electrodes were oval shaped and introduced in 1994 while the newer EDGE system electrodes are rectangular and were introduced in the late 90s and touted improved heat and energy distribution than the original design.
